Compressor Department

Yes, the pump monkeys domain!  We give them a modicum of responsibility and these two key areas are:

Air

Not only are we abundantly blessed with lots of the fresh stuff around the lake, we have three compressors that can squeeze it up into 400 bar tiny chunks for your convenience. All of our air squeezey machines are double filtered and exceed British Standard requirements for clean air and, unlike bottled water, it doesn’t have a best before date! (although, unfortunately, your tank does). We have two pricing levels, one for our loyal Wraysbury Dive Centre customers who obviously can’t get enough of the stuff and one for people just passing through (I’m sure you’ll work out which is which!) -

  • 3 litre £3.00 / £4.50
  • 7 litre £3.00 / £4.50
  • 10 litre £3.00 / £4.50
  • 12 litre £3.00 / £4.50
  • 15 litre £4.00 / £5.00
  • 300 bar £5.00

Mixed Gases

If you are very patient we can fill your needs and desires and your cylinders with squeaky stuff.  All gas fills are done on a next day pick up basis.  You want accurate fills -we need the time to achieve this.

We have a haskel pump (a push me/pull you thingy) which means we can accommodate you super duper rebreather divers with your 200 bars of O2.

Unfortunately, due to our pumpmonkey’s not having been trained on the credit card swipey thingies we can only accept cash.

Equipment Hire

We have the following equipment available to hire.  The scientific latin names have been supplied to aid familiarity for you new Open Water divers:-

  • Cylinders/Tanks/Bottles – £7 (inc first air fill)
  • Semi-dry Suit inc hood (Anti-Freezy Device) – £15
  • Bouyancy Control Device (UDD – Uppy Down Device) – £10
  • Regulators (BTT – Breathy Tubey Things) – £15
  • Weight & Belts (ST – Sinky Thing) – 50p per kg (max 12kg)
  • Full Kit Hire (The Works – must be said in deep gravelly voice to show you mean business!) – £50

Prices are for a days hire.  The items we don’t hire out are boots and gloves (we do have nice new ones available to buy in the shop) or drysuits .  Unfortunately due to the replacement cost of new equipment against the possible amount of thieving sods out there, equipment isn’t authorised to leave site. Essentially because our insurance company laughed at us before putting the phone down, this is why we need a credit/debit card as a security deposit on all hire items. Kit hire is on a first come first served basis but we’ve never run out yet! And again, due to the lack of credit card swipey machine we can only accept cash.
